Lindsay K. Below

Lindsay K. Below first put their imagination to paper as a child, amassing a collection of stories in exercise books and stapled loose-leaf paper. Their first published story, a flash fiction fantasy story called "Foreseer's Fate," was published in 2004 in a Canadian young writers anthology. By age twenty, they had launched their career by signing the rights to their first novel, a young adult science fiction novel called Lurkers, to a small Canadian press. 

At age twenty-three, newly a widow and with the PTSD to prove it, Lindsay decided to pivot their writing career. They currently write light-hearted historical romance and mystery set in Regency England under the name Harmony Williams. They have published fifteen books, including their latest, The Price of Temptation (2020). 

Shortly before their twenty-eighth birthday, they developed chronic pain in their wrists. After three years of medical tests and appointments with every specialist under the sun, they were diagnosed with fibromyalgia. This chronic illness, which now effects their entire body, has led to another mental shift which likely means another pen name is forthcoming. They have at present the first drafts to nine fantasy novels awaiting revision, each of which features a queer protagonist who uses a wheelchair and/or has a chronic illness. 

Before their health deteriorated, they served as a Municipal Liaison for a non-profit called National Novel Writing Month. They still enjoy giving back to the writing community, and give free seminars and workshops locally whenever their health (and pandemic restrictions) allow. 

Although Lindsay takes the winters off to hibernate, they maintain a day job during months with less inclement weather. They have had the pleasure of ghostwriting nearly forty novels for various clients, including multiple USA Today Bestselling authors (and no, they cannot tell you which ones). They are currently not accepting new ghostwriting clients. 

They are currently living their best life in the suburbs of a small Canadian city with their partner, Mark, and their rescue mutt, Edgar. They have retired from social media for the time being, but welcome email from friends and fans.
