It’s days before my thirty-second birthday, meaning I will shortly be celebrating the fourth anniversary of the onset of my chronic pain. An odd thing to celebrate, maybe, but I have grown in ways I hadn’t anticipated from that first twinge in my wrist. I’ve learned to prioritize the important things (like spending time with my niece). I’ve grown to accept and love my body and who I am in ways I never have before. So maybe there will be a little bit of celebration. There will be carrot cake, I know that for sure!
What’s next?
I know it’s the thought on everyone’s mind. I’m plugging away, within my limits, at the edits for a standalone historical mystery called, Speak Not of Murder. It will come out…when it comes out. With my health the way it is, that’s all I can tell you for the time being.
I’ve been working on other novels. (Dictating is quick. Editing…not so much.) Over the winter, when my pain flares up the most, I’ve been working on smaller projects. Poetry, mostly. Some short stories. I hope over the coming year to be able to announce some acquisitions on that front!
In the meantime…
The Ladies of Passion series is coming to audiobook! I read primarily in audio, so this is particularly exciting to me. The first book, How to Play the Game of Love is already available at all major audiobook retailers. Check your library for it, too! Particularly if your library gives access to Hoopla.
Book two, How to Ruin Your Reputation in 10 Days, is up for pre-order and will be releasing on February 15th!
Book three, How to Fall for the Wrong Man, is up for pre-order in some places (though not yet on Audible) and will be releasing on March 22nd!
I hope you enjoy how Heather Wilds brings these fun, flirty romantic comedies to life!
Happy reading!
